Quilts Beyond Borders

by Allison Wilbur on November 23, 2013

Quilts Beyond Borders  is working to gather 300 quilts to send to a Syrian refugee camp in Jordan to  give to Syrian children. I know that international aid is a complex issue, but considering how long the conflict has been raging in Syria, and the plight of the hundreds of thousands of Syrian children who have been displaced from their homes and schools, I am happy to be able to make a quilt as some small gesture of bringing a little cheeriness and warmth to a Syrian child. If you would like to make a quilt to contribute, please check the link to Quilts Beyond Borders on our Get Involved! page and send them a quilt. They are always looking for people to piece quilt tops and to long-arm quilts so get in touch if you have some time to help out a great group.  And remember, if you know of a worthy project, let us know about it so we can include it in our list.
